ThunderBars ("the App") is a music visualizer for iOS. We respect your privacy and are committed to keeping your data safe.
The App does not store or transmit any personal data beyond what is described on this page. It does not require an account and does not contain ads or third-party advertising/tracking. Optional in-app purchases are processed by Apple and RevenueCat (see "In-App Purchases" below).
The App uses your device's microphone to analyze audio in real time and render visualizations. All audio processing happens locally on your device. Audio is never recorded, saved, or uploaded to any server.
If you enable the synced lyrics feature, the App may query a lyrics service to display song lyrics while music plays. Only the information needed to look up lyrics for the currently playing song is sent, and it is not stored by us.
ThunderBars offers an optional one-time in-app purchase that permanently unlocks all visualizations and color themes. Payment is processed by Apple's App Store, and the transaction receipt is processed by RevenueCat on our behalf. We do not store or have access to your payment card details. Purchase/transaction identifiers and storefront information may be processed by Apple and RevenueCat under their respective privacy policies.
The App may connect to third-party services (for example, a lyrics provider, or RevenueCat for in-app purchases) solely to deliver the features you request. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
If you join the beta program via the sign-up form, we collect the contact information you voluntarily provide (such as your email address) solely to invite you to the beta. This data is processed by our form provider (Formspree) under its own privacy policy and is not sold or shared.
The App does not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
